First of all I want to thank you for sharing our experiences and your opinions. I have to say that I also liked the activity. But the main point I want to mention is a special thing you were talking about, “Continuity”.
If we talk about contents, this is something we can really notice at school, because what students learn is going to be seen also in future classes. Connecting with prior knowledge is something very important, because it lets us know how much children know, and also it let students see that they already know something about that topic so they can feel more confident.
If we talk about methodology, continuity can also be a very useful tool. We can link some activities, so students are playing with their own things they have done in class and this can be a very motivating situation.
So now, we have some more things to take into account as future teachers!
