From the title I guessed you were justifying literature as art, but you start talking about your personal experience first. Also, I don’t think it is correct to use those words to refer to writers. I’m afraid many of them cannot make a living writing, but they still do it because they enjoy it and want to share their creations with us. I’m sure you didn’t mean to insult them, but the meaning of the sentence is not clear and may be misunderstood.
It is good to see that your reading map is helping you to reflect on your literary experiences. Let’s keep on working on that!
