thanks for your coment Nuria, I would like to know about your story but probably we will do it soon with Raquel so I’ll mantain the mistery about your experiences
It’s true that somethimes the problem are books and no children and I thing that this is something that we, as a future teachers, have to take into a count!

thanks a lot kris i’m really happy for your coment, yes it’s amazing how much important things we forget allong our lives but that we don’t really forget, you know what i mean? my situation was really similar with my mum :).
I had a great moment reading your experiences about reading, they have been so sweet, thanks for share it with me
And don’t be shy that i know that you read romace stories too haha i was joking!

I really like your post. I think you have explained in a clear way your experience reading since you were a child.
I like your process because I think it is a beautiful way to remeber and it´s something that you don´t think in this with frequency.
AS you, I can ´t remember my first steps reading, but I have some little recalls when I started to read with syllabus.
Other thing that you comment is that like most of the children at the begining don´t like to read until you find a really important book that change these thinkings.
AS you said many books that like to children are full of adventures, intrigue and fantasy.
I consider that you really like to read when you choose a book that you wish to read this book and you cannot let up reading and you are inside the story. I think this feeling is very important to feel, especially when you are a child.

Hi Sara, first of all I have to say I really liked your post, I also consider the reading-memories class as a really interesting one.

I don´t remember really much of my first reading experience but I do remember some little scenes and flashes, as you said it was an emotive experience to remembering those things, I can remember that my first “experiences” reading were mostly related with my grandfather and my mother, but in the case of my grandfather it was when I was really young, maybe 3 or 4 years old, I remember that before sleeping, he used to get into my bedroom and read books with me, well, actually he was reading and I was sited next to him being focused on the images, but I think it was a great experience.

With my mother it was a really different thing, I remember when I was 13-14 she thought it would be a good idea to start reading something with me at the same time, so we took the first book of Harry potter and we started reading it together, after some sessions we kept reading it on our own but we were talking and discussing about it after. I remember that was the first book I red alone.

Now most of the books I read are related with psychology, self helping and also related with the degree I’m studying, because I totally agree with what you said, I just need to be prepared to teach children so I have to read books about it, even if I really prefer to teach instead of read about teaching .

“…even loving romance stories, because I’ m a girl and we love that ‘silly things’ ;)” I liked to read that, so cute
